BMW X1
BMW X1 is a compact luxury wagon that’s based on the same platform as the all-wheel drive BMW 3 Series Touring.

2008 BMW Concept X1
The concept version of BMW X1 was launched at Paris motor show in 2008. The typical features of a concept version of X1 are combined with elegant and sleek proposition.

The dual round headlights of BMW Concept X1 cut off at the top in the typical BMW brand style. The position of the foglamps and headlights bring back the three-eye face of other BMW models.
Creating this unique concept X1 car, BMW offers all the trills of versatile mobility beyond the track in a new segment of compact vehicles.

Equipments
X1 has a cargo capacity of 420 liters, which can be increased up to 480-L with the rear seats pulled a little to the front, and the total storage space with the seats folded can go up to 1350 liters.
The backrest can be divided in the ratio 40:20:40 and can be adjustable in 11 steps. Other equipments include performance control, semi command sitting position, and adaptive cruise control.
2009-10 BMW X1
2009 BMW X1 was offered in xDrive23d, xDrive20d, sDrive20d, xDrive18d, sDrive18d, and xDrive28i models. In 2010, BMW added xDrive18i.

All xDrive models are all-wheel drive, while sDrive models are rear-wheel drive.
The xDrive23d version is powered by a 2.0-L inline-4 cylinder engine that delivers 201 hp at 4400 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm.
The sDrive20d and xDrive20d trims are equipped with a 2.0-L I-4 turbo-diesel that spins out 175 hp at 4000 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque at 1750-3000 rpm range.
The xDrive18d and sDrive18d versions, powered by the same engine, deliver 141 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque.
The xDrive28i trim is equipped with a 3.0-L six-cylinder engine that churns out 254 hp at 6600 rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm.
2010 xDrive18i model is motivated by a 2.0-L four-cylinder engine that generates 141 hp at 6000 rpm and 140 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm.
A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard on xDrive28i and xDrive23d, while other models come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Looking at the performance, 2009 BMW X1 model went from 0-100 mph in 8.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 127 mph.
2011-2012 BMW X1
BMW’s first twin-turbocharged 4-cylinder engine will be debuting X1 xDrive28i, and the new 2011 BMW X1 will be offered with updated turbocharged engine that delivers 245 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

The acceleration time has also improved due to increased torque level. Buyers can opt for even eight-speed automatic transmission. BMW claims that X1 is capable of accelerating form 0 to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds. The M Sports package is also added on all X1 models.
The new BMW X1 is expected to start below BMW X3 model’s $35,000 starting price.
New Updates
X1 drivers are benefited from BMW’s iDrive interface in its latest version. It also includes high-end audio systems, navigation system, and automatic high beams. A power panoramic roof is provided as an optional feature.
This vehicle is also featured with various interior color schemes in order to fit the personal taste. Customers are promised with handy storage compartments and commanding driving position.
